The Berkeley Public Library Foundation (BPLF) is committed to long-term relationships with our donors and handles donor information with care and confidentiality. We are dedicated to respecting the privacy rights of our donors.
Personal Information
The BPLF collects email addresses when you subscribe to the library’s e-newsletter. The BPLF does not sell or rent this information to third parties. Subscribers are given the opportunity to remove your name from our email list at the bottom of each e-newsletter.
BPLF collects donor name and address information in connection with contributions. We do not rent or sell donor information to third parties. Donors who wish to have their name removed from the exchange list can call (510) 981-6115 or email [email protected].
Online Donation Security
Your online donations are safe and secure. The BPLF payment processors have been independently certified as Level 1 Service Providers and comply with all Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards to protect the confidentiality of your personal information and the security of your transaction.

Email Updates
If you permit us to contact you by email, your name and contact information will be used for the sole purpose of sending you the relevant information. You may choose to unsubscribe at any time by sending an email to [email protected] or by sending an email to the “unsubscribe” email featured on all our electronic communications.
Donating Online
If you make an online donation, your name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, and credit card information will be used only to process your transactions. If you prefer, you may donate by calling the BPLF office directly at (510) 981-6115.
